Our little village is home to one of Romania’s most important producers of artisanal cheese: “Manufactura de Brânză”. Cows raised by the Hungarian Varga family graze on the hills surrounding Cund where they feed on grass and wild spices – making the milk they produce fabulous! Inspired by this excellent milk, young cheese-maker Istvan Varga set about making quality cheese, using Swiss methods. Our guests can even take part in the production process, between 10 and 12.30, and learn all about how the milk is transformed into delicious cheese. During the workshop, guests will be able to sample some of the ripened cheeses from Istvan’s cellar, and will receive a small gift to take home.

  • Duration: Two and a half hours
  • Includes: workshop, tasting and small gift

EUR 25,- per person (groups of between two and six guests)
